The nature of New Hydrogen Hub Cyprus provides multiple reasons not only to companies with leading hydrogen technologies but also other stakeholders in the hydrogen ecosystem to be present in Cyprus, especially at the New Hydrogen Hub core area:

The “Work, Live, Study Hub”

At the physical center of New Hydrogen Hub, we plan:

A hydrogen focused institute which will help build academic partnerships across the world to facilitate the development of new hydrogen technologies.

For non-EU companies, the Hub can be their HQ offices for their operations in Europe.

Adequate “work, live, study” facilities that will make the Hub an attractive place for scientists and business people from around the world to come to Europe, enjoy the Cyprus weather, while advancing their knowledge and hands-on experience.

The Academia “Hub at the Hydrogen Hub” (H3)

The establishment of the academic center at the Hub will serve as a catalyst for advancing the flow of knowledge and cooperation across the world, utilizing the relationships that the New Hydrogen Hub Ltd principals and partners have with major universities / institutes.   

In Cyprus we have already attracted the interest of the main institutions who are relevant for building this academic bridge, starting with the Cyprus University of Technology (ΤΕΠΑΚ) and also engaging to involve the other main institutes of higher learning, such as the University of Cyprus.

We have commenced discussions with both EU and non-EU academic institutions that we chose to invite them to Academia H3.

Plant / Warehouse / Testing / Certification

At the periphery of New Hydrogen Hub, a plant / warehouse will provide flexibility to the technology partners where they can store equipment, parts, and consumables and even consider the assembly of their products, thus also enabling the creation of new hydrogen solutions in Europe. 

“One Stop Shop” to introduce technologies to European Union

Hydrogen Mobility Initiative
New Hydrogen Hub Cyprus invites all manufacturers of hydrogen cars licensed to be sold in the European Union to work/participate with us in launching the countrywide initiative as we will be providing the most important missing link for hydrogen mobility: the refueling stations, while also doing it at a competitive price. More on this initiative will be announced later in 2023.

Hydrogen Funding
One of the greatest contributions that we see for the Hub is as a facilitator of funding the development of new hydrogen technologies and expediting their commercialization. For this task, we will work closely with both public and private institutions to help create a forum, the mechanisms of which will make it easier for such funding to be arranged. This will involve bringing together under ‘one roof’, even if remotely coordinating, hydrogen funding experts from companies such as: The Big Four plus other reputable advisors who can add clout, expertise. With at least one of the Big Four we will have an incubator support for promising hydrogen technologies. Investment banks, especially from European Union. Private Funds that have special allocations / interests for hydrogen projects. Sovereign Funds / Large Institutional investors: The principals / partners of New Hydrogen Hub Ltd have relationships with the main such entities from Middle East and Asia as well many US institutional investors.
